WHO ARE THESE WORKSHOPS FOR?! (you may ask) CelloCelli Workshops are intended for cellists at all levels interested in developing alternative and non-classical cello skills.
The two day workshop is divided into sessions geared towards teachers and students as well as professionals.
The half day Cellophants Workshops is designed for beginning and early intermediate students.
WHAT ABOUT THE SCHEDULE? CelloCelli Workshops begin at 9AM Saturday and conclude Sunday with a participant concert at 3PM.
The three-hour Cellophants Workshops meet on Sunday, and join with other participants in the 3PM concert.
WHAT IS CELLOPHANTS? IS IT DANGEROUS? Cellophants is a ensemble piece for beginner/early-intermediateby cellists by Stephen Katz
with "extended techniques", and a show-stopping climax.
You may hear it or purchase the score here.
While the piece isn't dangerous, it is not advisable to dance too closely to Cellophants.
